Getting packed

Evey thing is coming together here!
We are still waiting for the H1N1 to settle down in the Ukraine and get a travel date, but we know it will either be in 2 weeks, or 3. We are excited that we might be traveling with another couple. That gives us someone to hang out with some of the time we spend there.
I never thought I might be over there at Christmas. That puts a lot of pressure on me now though. I'm trying to think, should I go out now and try to buy all their gifts before I go since I may not be here at Christmas. Or, should I not worry about it, and buy the gifts later and celebrate when we get back. I didn't think I would have to think about all of this!!
I don't want the kids to have to wait for us to come home though. I wonder how cold it will be there to. I don't do cold weather very well!!! I don't even own clothes for cold weather! I'm hoping i can just take a huge coat and be o.k.
We are trying to get our bags packed as well. The papers say not to take big suitcases because they will not fit in the cars, but that's all I have. I guess we will have to go buy duffel bags.
I am excited that most likely all the babies will be home for Christmas!!
I'm also going to try to get with the Torres family and plan my will, just in case. I just watched the movie passengers!! Not a good movie if you are already terrified to fly!!
Thanks everyone for reading our blog. Pray that we get a travel date soon!!

  1. Hi, I am so happy to have found your blog! I just typed in your names into google and up came your blog. I've already read it all the way through and am so excited to follow your journey to these children. Let me back up...

As a fellow adoptive mom myself, I love to follow adoption blogs. I also adore the R.R. ministry and often view the waiting children and follow the related blogs. Any, Arthur has had a special place in my heart for quite some time. I don't know what it is about him, but he seems so lonely, so in desperate need to know that he is loved and that someone cares. I have been praying that he would get a family. Our family is not in a position (for a number of reasons) to adopt again right now (although we know we will again at some point). And my husband (for now is not open to down syndrome. We are saving for a future adoption though, whenever that is. But I wanted to be a part of Arthur coming home so I sent my "birthday money" (my parents generously give us $100 for our birthdays) to Arthur's adoption grant fund. Why? Because that is the only thing I knew would make me happy to spend the money on. I really, really cared about this little boy. When the angel tree kids were posted, I wondered where Arthur's picture was. I wanted to advocate for him on my blog. So I emailed Andrea and she showed me your profile page and that Arthur had a family. I was so excited and thankful to God!!! Not only did he have a committed family, but a family that was already getting ready to travel. And now reading your blog, I found out that his parents are believers! I believe Arthur NEEDS your family! God knew that. Thank you for adding one more to your additions. You WILL be able to handle this, but only with God giving you the strength. He will never leave you or forsake you. Do you have recent pictures of any of your newest additions to post?

    In Christ,

p.s. I think big families are AWESOME!!!
Each child is a gift from our Father
